CD of the WEEK
This new release on the ABC Classic label and supplied to us by the ABC, is titled ‘Nocturnes’, featuring the brilliant young violinist Emily Sun in her debut solo album, accompanied by pianist Andrea Lam. A London-based Australian, Emily first grabbed the world’s attention in the award-winning documentary ‘Mrs Carey’s Concert’.
The Gallic-inspired album includes works by Cesar Franck, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Faure and Lili Boulanger.
